Loving design meets structured structure
It is the year 2006: Aaron Draplin, designer and collector of performing arts, takes his inspiration from functional notebooks found at gas stations and agricultural dealerships in the USA in the first half of the 20th century. From then on he produced so-called "Field Notes", small notebooks that Draplin sent as gifts to his friends. One of them is Jim Coudal from the advertising agency Coudal Partners, who immediately recognises the potential of the notebooks. The company Field Notes is launched as a joint venture in 2007 - what follows is a single success story. Today, Field Notes sells a range of notebooks and stationery that will delight you with their functional and typically American design, earning them a permanent place in your backpack.
