Design classics rediscovered: the Case Study® Arm Shell Spyder from Modernica
A competition in the 1950s was to bring about a revolution in furniture design: the winner was a new chair model made of fibreglass that conquered the world in no time at all. In the 1980s, production of the original chairs was then discontinued, and their successors were then generally made only without armrests and from polypropylene. But in the year 2000 the decisive turning point came: when the Californian company Modernica dedicated itself to reviving the production of the popular designer chair. The same production processes, the same materials, chairs that resemble the original Shell chair in all characteristics - this is still the maxim for production today. The results, such as the designer chair Case Study® Arm Shell Spyder by Modernica, are something to be seen and felt.
As stylish as it is comfortable
Unlike the plastic chairs that you can buy in any DIY store, Modernica's Case Study® Arm Shell Spyder is not only made with functionality in mind. The designer chair is comfortable, offers the possibility to put the arms down and has a real wood frame (walnut or walnut/maple) as a base, so it blends well into a stylish living environment.
Your Case Study® Arm Shell Spyder from Modernica is available here in the shop in the colours Army Green, Orange, Ghost and Indigo.
