Your own personal package
The new "Vignette" Edition package from Field Notes includes 3 graph paper notebooks with a clever punched-out pocket that allows you to put your own picture, any picture, there as an individual cover design.
The "theme" of each book is so entirely up to you. Maybe a photo of your crew, your kids, or a screenshot from your favorite movie, cartoon or a masterpiece by a famous artist? A team logo, a holiday selfie, your hero, a pop star... or just the beautiful photo you took of the full moon. Anything goes!
Make them whatever you want.
Each 3-pack consists of two dotted "Charcoal Grey" books and a bright green "Terra Green" book. A small selection of ready-made insert cards are included to try out the personalization system.
The package also includes a vignette template that allows you to easily and accurately cut any image, photo, fabric pattern or card to size. Everything that is flat fits in.
Field Notes has also created a simple web app that allows digital images to be captured, adjusted and printed directly in the appropriate size.
It's 2006: Aaron Draplin, a designer and collector of fine art, was inspired by the functional notebooks found in gas stations and agricultural stores in the Midwest in the first half of the 20th century. From then on he produced so-called "field notes", small notebooks that Draplin sent as gifts to his friends. One of them is Jim Coudal from the advertising agency Coudal Partners, who immediately recognises the potential of the little books. The company Field Notes is launched as a joint venture in 2007 - what follows is a single success story. Today, Field Notes sells a range of notebooks and stationery that will delight you with their functional and typically American design, earning them a permanent place in your backpack.
Loving design meets structured structure
Field Notes is inspired by the disappearing subgenre of agricultural memo books, decorated paperbacks and the simple, unobtrusive beauty of a well-worked shopping list. Designer Aaron Draplin, known in the USA for his work on behalf of Nike or former President Obama, is fully absorbed in his passion for notebooks: He has collected hundreds of them over the years and always finds new inspiration for his brand in them. Exclusively made in the USA, the memo books are an indispensable companion for anyone who likes to record their thoughts in writing, knows their appointments are well organised and values a clear yet chic design.
