"Neutra. The Complete Work" deals with the Viennese Richard Neutra (1892 - 1970), who emigrated to America early on and had an undeniable influence on the development of architecture from 1950 onwards from California. His cool and elegant style was created in his sunny adopted home with its lush landscape. The relationship between people and the nature surrounding them was Neutra's theme. He created characteristic glass walls and ceilings with deep overhangs that created a link between outside and inside. Neutra's great talent was the fusion of aesthetics, technology, science and nature. He thus became a leading protagonist of modernist architecture. The volume presents all of the architect's works without any gaps; it contains over 1,000 photographs, some of which were taken by Julius Shulman.
"Neutra. Das vollständige Werk" is a book by the author Barbara Lamprecht, the photographer Julius Shulman and the editor Peter Gössel. It is published by Taschen Verlag as hardcover 33,2 x 25,7 cm on 464 pages. The multilingual edition in German, English and French has the ISBN 978-3-8365-1244-2.
